Field visits you can verify
Offline-first capture at the shop, so the record is made where the work happens.
Reports are filled in at the end of the day from memory. Coverage is measured against activity rather than against the plan, and orders arrive over messaging apps to be re-keyed.
How we would approach it
Plan by route and frequency, then measure coverage against the plan
Capture at the counter — geo-verified check-in, order, collection, photographs
Hold everything in a local store and sync when a connection returns
Push orders into the ERP with idempotency so a retry cannot duplicate
Give managers the same records the rep created, not a separate report
What we would measure
Agreed at the start, reported against honestly. If a measure is not worth arguing about now, it is not worth reporting later.
- Coverage against plan by route
- Productive calls as a share of visits
- Order value captured in-app versus re-keyed
- Sync latency and failed-sync rate
Capabilities involved
Tracking that feels like surveillance gets defeated. Design the app so it is faster than the workaround, and the data arrives because it is easier, not because it is enforced.
